For anyone who had a CT scan have you ever seen an indent like this?
So this is neck pain but I figured let’s see if anyone here has experience looking at CT scans. I had an artificial disc placed at c5/c6 in Dec of 2024. I had spinal cord compression and pain/weakness in my right arm. The surgery relieved the weakness in my body and arm but I have been having intensifying neck and arm pain. The pain is around a 5-7 daily, and travels across the top of my shoulders over my shoulder and down my right arm. It will stop at the elbow but I have some pain in the thumb side of my hand. I do everything from meds, to pt, topicals and thc, I’m currently sitting wrapped in my heat pack with my tens unit along the c6 nerve root.
The ct was ordered by one of the my second opinions, who is recommending a conversion to a fusion (this wasn’t new news, I was told from the start I needed a fusion so I knew it was coming at some point), I’m just scared of getting a fusion. Long story short, I got the ct and am waiting on the report…is that a fracture in my c6 vertabrae? I’m getting an injection tomorrow so I’m going to ask my dr. I’m just curious is maybe the bone is broken and moving around, hence causing the pain? Thank you for taking the time to read!
