Andiot - warranty experience
Hello everyone,
I don’t see many posts about warranty experiences with TDs, so I wanted to share mine with Andiot in case it helps someone who’s hesitant about sending a watch back to China.
My first purchase from Andiot was in September 2025: a V7F Ingenieur Aqua. I’ve always loved the Ingenieur, so I was really excited about it. Unfortunately, about a month after receiving the watch, the movement stopped working. While trying to adjust the time after it failed, I also ended up damaging the hour hand.
Since I don’t know much about watch repair, I contacted Andiot for help. The problem was that V7 had just been raided a few days after my watch arrived. At the time, he told me there wasn’t much he could do and suggested waiting because they expected the factory to reopen within a few months. As we all know now, that still hasn’t happened.
After waiting a few months, I spoke with Andiot again near the end of December, and he suggested sending the watch back to China for repair. Honestly, I was pretty nervous about it for two reasons:
The watch getting lost during shipping
Someone stealing or reselling it, since a lot of people are looking V7 Ingenieurs (just saying this because i already had 3 people dm me if i wanted to sell it)
In the end, I decided to take the risk, and this was my experience:
- December 29th: I shipped the watch to China. Shipping cost me around €50.
- January 23rd: The package was collected. It took some time before I got confirmation that the watch had arrived, which definitely made me panic a little.
- February 26th: Andiot finally contacted me with pictures of the watch received.
- March 22nd: He shipped the watch back to me
One thing I really didn’t expect was receiving QC pictures after the repair, which I thought was a very nice touch.
- March 22nd: After I approved everything, he shipped the watch back to me
- May 21st: I finally received the watch and everything is working perfectly now (picture attached).
I wanted to post this because there aren’t many detailed experiences about sending watches back to China for warranty repairs, and I know a lot of people are understandably worried about it.
For me, Andiot has been the best TD I’ve worked with so far. I genuinely have nothing bad to say about the experience. If you’re considering sending a watch back for repair, my advice is simple: be patient. The process takes time, but in my case it worked out very well.
