Moving to LA from NYC and need help!
Hi ya’ll! My husband and I (in our 30s) will be moving to LA in the next 1-2 months for his dream job. I don’t know anything about LA and trying to embrace this move so would appreciate some advice about neighborhoods, housing, etc. His office will be in Hollywood.
We currently live in a quiet area of Harlem and love being able to walk to our favorite restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, etc. I know LA isn’t very walkable so we’ll be shipping our car. However, if we can live in an area where we have an option to walk to our local spots, that’d be preferable. Our ideal scenario would be a quiet street where we can easily access things via walking.
Additionally, if you can give a ballpark range for rent, that’d be helpful. We’re looking for a 2 bed and in-unit washer/dryer (if that’s an option). Also, what’s the Street Easy equivalent in LA?
I’m so lost and would LOVE any and all advice!
