URGENT PLEA to u/StBroseph: I exposed a local liquor mafia, but I've hit a dangerous roadblock. I desperately need your help

Hi u/StBroseph and team,

I’m a regular citizen, and for the last five months (since March), I have been running a relentless campaign against a massive illegal liquor operation in Sunkadakatte. I have fought this through every official government channel, but I have hit a wall of corruption that is now putting my personal safety at risk. I desperately need you to step in as a proxy.

Here is the exact situation and the paper trail I have built:

The establishment, Jai Maruthi Wines, holds a CL-2 license (retail takeaway of sealed bottles only). However, they are completely violating the law: they have built a proper seating area in the back, they allow and serve customers to sit and drink on the premises, they sell loose liquor, and they create a massive daily public nuisance for commuters.

I refused to ignore it. I sent dozens of emails with clear video proof to the Chief Secretary, BBMP, Police, and Excise. After dodging me for months, the Peenya Excise Department finally did an inspection. They admitted in their official report that the bar provides a space to sit and sells loose liquor, but they refused to close it because "it's not in the approved blueprint." (They literally used its illegality as an excuse to let it run).

Through sheer persistence, I forced them to put a physical Government Seal on the illegal backroom last week. I thought the system finally worked.

I was wrong. Within just one week, the bar owner somehow managed to illegally break the seal or maybe did some adjustments I am not sure. The gates are thrown wide open, and they are fully operational again today, serving people on the premises like nothing happened. The local Kamakshipalya police and Peenya Excise are actively ignoring a broken government seal because they are deeply compromised.

I escalated this to the Lokayukta, but here is my roadblock: They have officially emailed me saying they will close the case unless I submit Form 1 and Form 2 (sworn legal affidavits).

I cannot reveal my identity. If this rowdy owner can make a government seal disappear in a week with zero consequences, these corrupt local officials will hand my real name and address to him on a silver platter.

u/StBroseph, I have the entire unredacted dossier—DC Orders, Excise Endorsements admitting guilt, and fresh video proof of it operating after the broken seal and illegal sit-down operations.

Can your team please act as the proxy complainant, file the Lokayukta forms, and take this up officially so I can remain safely anonymous?

I am also trying to build public pressure through a Twitter thread here and have also tagged you:

(If anyone reading this can Retweet it, please help me out).

Please let me know your email so I can loop you in with all documents and authorities replies as I tried to loop you in using info@broseph.in this email available on the website. My email : 0bangaloreboy@proton.me

Thank you for everything you do for Bengaluru.

TL;DR: I spent 5 months fighting a corrupt liquor mafia that is illegally running a sit-down bar with a CL-2 takeaway license, serving loose liquor, and causing daily public nuisance. I finally forced the govt to seal their illegal backroom. The owner just broke the seal and reopened, and the local police/excise are protecting him. The Lokayukta won't act unless I reveal my identity to proceed, which will get me targeted. I am pleading with u/StBroseph to take my evidence and act as a proxy complainant to finish this fight.

I’ve been fighting a local liquor mafia since March. I’m exhausted, the system is completely rigged, and I really need your help, Bangalore.

Hi everyone. I’m just a normal, everyday commuter, and for the last five months, I feel like I’ve been banging my head against a brick wall trying to do the right thing.

Since March, I’ve been fighting against a local bar (Jai Maruthi Wines in Sunkadakatte). They only have a CL-2 retail license. By law, they are only allowed to sell sealed bottles over the counter for people to take away. But instead, they have illegally built a proper space in the back, providing seating, and they are actively serving people alcohol to sit and drink right there on the premises. They are selling loose liquor and running it like an illegal pub, creating a massive daily public nuisance for everyone traveling through the area.

I decided not to look the other way. I started emailing everyone—the Chief Secretary, the BBMP, the Police, and the Excise Department. I sent n-number of emails with geotagged video proof of people sitting and drinking inside.

What did I get? Automated replies. The top IAS officers literally just forwarded my emails with a one-liner: "Pl find forwarded for necessary action." The local Peenya Excise department actually did an inspection, admitted in their official report that the bar was making people sit and serving loose liquor, but refused to shut them down because "the illegal backroom isn't in the approved blueprint." (Yes, they used its illegality as an excuse to let it run).

Finally, after I relentlessly spammed them with emails, authorities came and put a physical Government Seal on the door last week. I thought I won.

Nope. Within exactly one week, the seal was magically broken, the gates were thrown wide open, and the illegal sit-down bar is fully operational again today. The local police and excise officials are completely blind to it. It’s a massive "adjustment" and open corruption.

My last hope was the Lokayukta. But they just emailed me saying they will close my case unless I submit Form 1 and 2—which requires my real name, address, and a sworn signature. I am terrified. If this rowdy bar owner can break a government seal in a week with zero consequences, these heavily bribed local officials will definitely leak my identity to him. My life and my family will be in danger.

I’m trying every possible way to fight this, and I’m down to my last resort: public pressure. I have compiled all the government documents, their dumb excuses, and the video proofs into a Twitter/X thread.

I know it's a lot to ask, but if you guys understand the frustration of living in a city where the rules only apply to the common man and not the mafia, please click the link below and just hit Retweet. If we get enough engagement, the top bosses might actually be forced to act on this broken seal.

Thanks for reading.

TL;DR: Spent 5 months fighting an illegal bar mafia in Bangalore. They have a CL-2 license (takeaway only) but are illegally providing space for people to sit, serving alcohol on the premises, selling loose liquor, and causing a massive public nuisance. I finally forced the govt to seal the place, but the owner bribed his way out, broke the seal in a week, and reopened. Lokayukta won't help unless I reveal my real name, which will get me targeted. I’m exhausted and need your help to Retweet my Twitter thread to build public pressure.
