There’s nothing comfortable about comfort care

As a parent who chose comfort care for our little one, it’s always so awkward to get asked how we are or if baby’s still comfortable and the like by his doctors. I know they’re just checking in and I know I’m an emotional wreck and we’re stuck in the NICU indefinitely (I don’t want my baby to die at home). I’m just so mad at the world right now.

PS: I know the ´comfort´ in comfort care isnt for the parents but for the patient.
