I know that McCarthy didn't write cosmic horror but I feel that there is some influence there like how Lovecraft shows us how small we are in the universe McCarthy shows us how small we are in nature. The nihilism seems similar as well. And Hell the Judge could be viewed as a cosmic horror monster as he seems beyond the main characters understanding. Maybe I am just looking too deep into it.
