"A Dogs Life" & Knives Out connection
EDIT: "It's a Dog's Life" is the correct title of the episode.
I figured this community would be a good place to share this connection I just made. If this theory has already been made, then I am not as cool as I thought. While watching an episode of Murder She Wrote that I don't recall ever seeing, I instantly made a connection. It progressed throughout the entire episode and connected many dots for me. I've seen this somewhere else. It almost instantly reminded me of Rian Johnson's Knives Out. The episode is "A Dogs Life" (S1EP6). Rian Johnson definitely was inspired by this episode specifically when he put Knives Out together. The victim is very much like Harlan Thromby and the family Lawyer character who meets with the family to review the will is almost SPOT ON (personality and southern draw) to investigator Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig). There are also many other parallels. If you get a chance to compare the two, you might draw the same conclusion I just did. At first I was a little annoyed with Rian but I remembered that he is a huge fan of Murder She Wrote (MSW) and even put a MSW easter egg in this movie. And if you were unaware, also put a little Angela Lansbury cameo in Glass Onion during the bathtub Among Us scene (it's hilarious).
