Bacon Brown Sugar Chicken Tenders - sweet, savory, and oven-baked
I'm helping share ChefManiac recipes transparently, and I'm including the full recipe details here so nobody has to click through unless they want the source.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 lb chicken tenders
- 8 to 10 slices bacon, cut in half
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper, optional
- 1/2 tsp salt, or to taste
- Fresh parsley, optional
Method:
Heat oven to 375 F. Line a sheet pan or baking dish with foil and lightly grease it, or use a wire rack for crispier bacon.
Mix brown sugar, garlic powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, salt, and cayenne in a shallow bowl.
Wrap each chicken tender with bacon, using a half slice or full slice depending on size. Secure with a toothpick if needed.
Press or roll each wrapped tender in the brown sugar mixture until coated.
Arrange with space between pieces and bake 25 to 35 minutes, until chicken reaches 165 F and bacon is browned.
For extra color, broil 1 to 2 minutes at the end, watching closely so the sugar does not burn.
Rest a few minutes before serving.
