As I wrap up remodeling I'm finally getting ready to move into my first place and really need to start considering furniture and how to lay out my space. The provided images show a basic model I whipped up of the floor plan so everything is to scale.
The big concern I'm having right now is how to arrange my living room. The couch and TV I already have and I believe the couch can be mirrored as it's a modular sectional but I will have to double check. I think an accent chair would look nice and provide additional seating but I'm limited on space no matter where I put it and don't want to block access to the couch or hallway (and I haven't chosen a coffee table yet either). I've added a thin table behind the couch and to the right I've placed a coffee credenza/dry bar. The kitchen table placeholder is 48" across not including the chairs and I will be having two additional chairs by the breakfast bar.
The bedroom is still a completely blank slate aside from the color, I just can't decide which wall to put the bed on. Pictured is a king size bedframe and matching dresser with the bed on the opposite side of the wall the living room TV is on. I like the flow from the hall/bathroom/closet in this orientation but worry about horizontal space for nightstands. The opposite wall I believe is a shared wall with the neighbor; no clue how soundproof it is or what room is on the other side, but I like that the window in the opposite corner will shine in nicely.
Any and all recommendations are welcome. Thanks ahead of time!
