Rain, rain, go away! Because I am coming to Varkala 😂😂😂
Hello Travellers! 🌴
I’m traveling from Jharkhand to Kerala, and this will be my first time visiting South India! I’ll be flying into Chennai first and plan to reach Varkala around June 6th/7th for a 15-day stay. I am a peace-loving person and completely fell in love with the cliff views I saw in reels.
A few questions for the community:
1. Travel: What is the best way to get from Chennai to Varkala? Should I take a train or a bus? 2. Monsoon Reality: I’m seeing comments about the rain starting in June. My dream was to jump into the sea every day—is swimming completely off the table because of the weather? If so, how can I best enjoy a 15-day stay during the monsoon?
3. Stays: What are your top recommendations for budget-friendly stays (hostels or quiet guesthouses)?
4. Food(Vegetarian): Where can I find good budget cafes? I know the main cliff restaurants can get pretty expensive.
5. Ayurveda: Any recommendations for authentic, budget-friendly Ayurvedic massage therapy? The ones I found online are a bit too pricey.
I would love to connect with anyone who will be there around the same time. Thank you all for the help!
