The pleasure and the pain

The pleasure and the pain

I love the tuning of the ooopusX Op.22. Neutral overall, with a bit of a bump around 1-1.5 kHz combined with a little dip higher up in the ear gain and a raised lower treble, it manages to be clear and spacious yet slightly relaxed. Perfect for classical music, with a very natural tone and very good instrument separation. Good not just for the price, but good period.

The downside, for me, is the comfort. The narrow part of the shell digs into my antitragus so that anything more than 30 minutes of listening becomes painful. I'll likely pass them on to somebody with bigger ears than mine!

Mechanical Cross feed by another company

https://truestereolabs.com/

Found a mention of this is a report on a recent HiFi show.

As far as I understand they are creating mechanical cross feed to get front-of-head localisation.

The other company that I am aware of doing that is Crosszone (https://www.crosszone-audio.com/) which have been around for a while and have a range of models.

Anybody here have experience with either approach?
