Shocked by Privilee

Hi,

I wanted to try out Privilee for a month, to see if it was worth it for me, I looked at their plans, chose "pay monthly" for 699 AED, and thought great, giving it a try.

Now little more than a month later I found out it wasn't for me as I'm not using it enough, and went to cancel it.

Now here's where things took a turn - in order to cancel your plan, you need to pay an early cancellation fee of 2x months payment = 1,398 AED

Now, obviously I'm shocked, I went through their sign up flow again to see how I missed this, first you have to press a small "i" button, where it just says early cancellation fees apply, and then to find out the exact terms, you need to read through their ridiculously long T&C's document - you can't even pause it for any reasons apart from "medical reasons", which you need a doctors note for.

At this point it's purely a case of principles, has anyone had luck getting this fee waived? Is this something that could make sense opening a case with consumer rights?

Appreciate any inputs, thank you!
