Hello Duolingo team,
I’d love to see Yoruba added to Duolingo in the future.
Yoruba is spoken by tens of millions of people across Nigeria and around the world, with a huge diaspora community in Europe, North America, and beyond. There is growing interest from younger generations wanting to reconnect with their culture, heritage, and language.
Adding Yoruba would help:
• Preserve and promote an important African language
• Support cultural education and accessibility
• Give diaspora communities a fun and modern way to learn
• Expand representation of African languages on the platform
There’s a real audience for this, and I believe many people would strongly support a Yoruba course on Duolingo.
Thank you for considering it!
