Hi everyone,

I recently modded my iPod Classic 6th gen with an iFlash Quad, a 3000 mAh battery, and a Bluetooth board (KCX_BT_EMITTER v1.7). I mainly use it as a dedicated audiobook player.

I’m running into a problem trying to pair it with my Sennheiser Momentum 2. Over Bluetooth, the headphones won’t connect at all. The wired connection works, but volume control doesn’t function – neither via the headphones nor via the iPod itself.

The Bluetooth board itself seems to work fine otherwise – my Bose SoundLink Mini pairs and plays without any issues.

A few questions I’m hoping someone can help with:

Has anyone experienced similar pairing issues between the KCX_BT_EMITTER and the Momentum 2 or other older bluetooth headphones, and is there a known fix?

Has anyone used Shokz headphones with a modded iPod, particularly for audiobooks? I’d be interested to hear how they perform.

Lastly, I’d appreciate any recommendations for wired or wireless headphones that work reliably with this setup and are well-suited for spoken-word content.

Thanks in advance.
