What are things that seem tamer than your limit, but will freak you out?

Mine is home invasion horror. The Strangers had me terrified, and I’ve seen things that on paper are way worse. But just that violation of security shook me. Also why I'll never be over that scene in The Grudge

Why don't teams with good kickers line up on 4th and then take the delay if it's a bad look?

So say it's 4 & 3, and it'd be a 35 yard field goal. Assuming you have a kicker who you trust, why not line up and let your QB read the defense? If your QB/coach in his ear likes the look go for it, and if not then just try to make the defense jump (or let the clock run out if its more than 5 yards).

Obviously this is also assuming you have a QB who can read the defense enough for this situation. But I don't think this would ever be done in a long to go situation, so feel like the confidence level with even okay QBs is pretty good for picking up a few yards
