Gavin is a mystery to many souls who have seen him. A man willingly working for La Muerta and expecting nothing in return, not even payment? It’s certainly an odd case…….
Most sinners who sign their souls away to Overlords are either tricked into it or forced into it. But Gavin? Not only did he sign his soul away willingly, he actually asked La Muerta if he could give her his soul before she even had the chance to bring out the manipulation.
Some sinners say he has a crush on her, but he’d be the first one to shoot that theory down. And shoot it down HARD. No love here. Just loyalty. And it’s that loyalty that is so perplexing to many. Why is he so loyal to a woman who doesn’t care about him? And Gavin isn’t stupid, he knows, for a fact, that when push comes to shove, the skeletal lady would probably sacrifice him for a handful of coins. And he doesn’t care. He works for free, he does all the paperwork, he oversees other souls, he collects debts owed by other souls, all for her. But why??? Well, I’m afraid that is an answer only Gavin would know……..
But as far as Gavin is concerned…….he’s the only one, besides the greedy lady herself of course, who is thinking clearly. Everyone else is crazy for not showing the ironclad loyalty towards La Muerta that he does! But he’s not too worried about it. It’s only a matter of time……before everyone learns the truth that he has always known………
