How long to wait after cold-emailing potential PhD advisor to send a follow up?
How long do you all think is an appropriate amount of time to wait before sending a follow-up email to potential advisors if I don’t hear back from them? I know emails often get lost in inboxes and the daily to-do of academics, so I want to leave enough time for them to respond without seeming pushy, however some of these are my top choices of people to work with and I don’t want to get lost entirely. What do you all think is an appropriate timeline?
