Enjoying the new Phantom cymbals

Swapped out almost all of my Alesis Strike cymbals for Phantoms and Lemons. The shiny look is awesome, and the silicone material they use shows no stick marks and has a much better feel. Triggering is good so far, and will dial them in just a tad more, but keep getting distracted by just wanting to jam out! Debating on using the 15" Phantom hi hats, or possibly in the future, their 15" 3 Zone Ride as hats IF I eventually get a Prime module, since it supports triple zone cymbals.

Making the switch

Well, the time has come to get a double pedal, and decided on the Pearl Eliminator Redline. I got the FP9C a year or so ago thinking I'd try and see how they feel, and if I liked them, I'd go for the double version. They're buttery smooth, extremely light and fast and dead quiet. However, I just never could get them dialed in just right for me. Pretty close though. I think it's the longboard that is throwing me off. Today I received and threw on the eliminators right out of the box, and they're incredible! My search is finally over. Just what I've been looking for! Looks like I'll be parting ways with the Yamaha. 😜
