Given that even a corporation such as Solidworks can potentially have their cyber security measures undermined, what is the general feeling of mech. engineers regarding their IP potentially be stollen and what methods are being employed to sufficiently mitigate such cyber attacks and backdoors?

From research, I believe even isolated devices that are air-gapped can be infiltrated using the RAMBO technique and have serious concerns about investing my own time in my own consultancy only to have all my work potentially stollen.
