Ok, so ive been getting into tokusatsu over the past year and have gotten into, most recently, Ultraman. Im loving it! But some things have made me curious.

One thing ive noticed are most of the showa ultras are typically in some way related (Most commonly by blood) Through the Father and Mother of ultras. But that brings me to my question.

Who is the original? Is he just their equivalent of a random dude? I genuinely cannot tell. Like did some random ass soldier just get really proficient at killing monsters and they were just like "Welp, he is special now"?
