Details:

I’m at my girlfriend’s house for a week meeting her family and I’ve had hives twice this week.

I went to eat Olive Garden with my girlfriend’s family for dinner tonight and later I was doing a boxing workout outside and immediately after my workout I started to get hives. I did my best to not scratch them, I took some Claritin and took a lukewarm shower. The hives aren’t as itchy anymore and seem to be going away.

The same situation happened to me last Wednesday after I went on my 5 mile run. I’m sure that I had a decent sized dinner that night as well. (I don’t remember what) It was a little chilly that day and after the workout I immediately started getting hives so I took the Claritin and a lukewarm shower and they eventually went away that night as well.

I’ve only ever had this happen to me twice before but those were about 5 years ago. I believe I ate a huge hibachi meal before a track meet and I started to get hives everywhere. the only reason I’m making a post about it now is because it’s happened twice in a few days.

My whole life I haven’t been allergic to any foods or anything so I don’t believe it’s an allergic reaction to anything I’m eating. I thought it could’ve been an allergic reaction to the laundry detergent my girlfriend is using but that wouldn’t make much sense because it only happens when I’m working out.

I believe if I’m not mistaken, it’s only happening when I eat a big meal and do a workout within a few hours. I go to a boxing gym back at home and sweat all the time over there but I always eat dinner after the workout. Please provide me with any suggestions/questions and I hope everyone is well.

I also don’t mind going to see a clinic but I didn’t think it was severe enough to need to go, I’d just like to have a better answer as to why this may be happening so I can avoid it/not be as worried about it in the future. Thank you!
