Looking to start a career in the medical tech/sonogram field. For those that currently work in the field, what would you suggest for a 42 year old starting fresh?

I'm 42 and starting over, I worked for myself but need a change. I have a bachelors in Psy. To be honest I am not sure how I will be able to tolerate the stresses being a sonogram tech, I tend to run a bit anxious. What positions in the medical field are safe right now? I am looking at sonogram tech, Mri tech, etc. I honestly just want everyone's opinion bc I have no time to make mistakes. I honestly am really concerned I will be competing with fresh 19 year olds coming out of HS. Would prefer not to go into 50k debt for a degree. Grateful for any advice.

42 and looking to start a career after working for myself most of my life. Anyone have any advice they would like to share?

Hello, Long Island, New Yorker here and I am looking for some advice from anyone that has started over at 40. Have worked for myself most of my life, own a small martial art studio the last 12 years with my hubby but i no longer feel content and the industry is changing. No security at all. I have a Bachelors in Psych that I got about 18 years ago, wanted to go for master's but didn't due to burn out, but i cannot even imagine spending the next 3 years in a program and 2-3 under supervision to become certified in clinical therapy. Does anyone have any advice on starting over and where? Nursing isn't for me, but maybe sonogram tech? I really don't want to be in school for years and owe 70k, any advice would be amazing. Thank you.
