I was having my shower done with tile. The tile guy pulled the shower and discovered some pipe he hadn't seen. He did some digging and found it to be Kitec. He said he was told some plumbers use adapters but he's never done it so he doesn't want to screw anything up since you're not supposed to use Kitec anymore. I'm already over budget so I'm curious what my options are here and if I can DIY it? I do some simple plumbing like replacing toilets and faucets, but nothing like this.
