What ESP32-S3 Actually Have Working 5v Pin?
I’ve ordered 5 different ESP32-S3 from Amazon from different brands. I have yet to have one that supplies 5v to the 5v pin when the ESP is powered through USB. They are all reading 1-2v on the 5v pin yet the 3.3v pins are fine and the devices otherwise work normally.
I’m trying to make a sensor suite and some sensors need 5v. I want to be able to plug usb into the ESP to power the device and sensors. I don’t want to have to make a separate power supply or use a usb breakout board simply because of badly designed ESPs. If it’s a defect, how in the world would I have been that unlucky to encounter the same identical defect 5 different times in a row??
According to ChatGPT, that’s just how third party manufacturers make them and they just label the pin “5v” for lols apparently.
Anyone know of specific ones on Amazon that actually work?
