How do we feel about space stations?
Just discovered this subreddit and wanted to post my most recent MOC. A little peak into my universe, it's heavily Star Trek inspired.
Starbase 001 (Milky Waypoint)
"Within the darkest of space. The farthest structure made by man, lays just beyond our own Milky Way." - Perry Delimore, The designer of Starbase One
located right outside our Milky Way, Starbase One's sole purpose is to be a rest stop/Trading station for all beings who travel within the blackest of seas.
It is equipped with:
- Massive communication array for, well communicating between the ships in deep space and Earth.
- Massive solar panels to help the Coms array to function.
- Cargo Capacity for larger vessels.
The station mainly uses a Nuclear Fusion Reactor to power the entire thing.
Designed in 2028 by 43 year old Perry Delimore. He designed a marvel of fiction only to become a reality in 2037 when the Atlanteans made contact. During training for the first generation of space explorers, the cadets gave it the nickname 'The Milky Waypoint' as a play on words as to where the massive station sits and its purpose.
The Legacy, the tiny ship flying, is about two Eiffel towers long. That really puts in perspective how gargantuan this space station is.
