I was just diagnosed over a month ago. Dr started with albuterol when he got test results. When I saw him, he put me on Wixella. Even though I rinsed afterwards really well, I ended up with a severe sore throat about a week into it. Had to stop to heal my throat. Then he switched me to symbicort aerosol. Now after about 3 weeks of that, sore throat again. I have a call into the dr and waiting for a call back. But I'm at a loss of what to do with this. Does anyone else get a severe sore throat and is that a reaction to the medication? Or a typical side effect? And the symbicort dose is not strong enough either. I'm mild in the asthma, so for the moment I stopped to allow my throat to recover.
