Scattered thunderstorms for first timers? +/- Express
My mother and I are gonna be going to epic for the first time this coming week (or next) and are seeing the forecast starting to change to lots of rain and even thunderstorms. We’ve been on the fence about getting express pass but ultimately decided it’s probably worth it so that we can enjoy the park to the fullest and possibly go on stuff more than once plus enjoy the shows/atmosphere without stressing about wasting time. However we know that the park is mainly all outside and even the indoor rides are affected by lightning and the thunderstorms are supposed to start on Sunday, which is the day we are planning on going.
Should we switch and go a different day? Alter our plans? It seemed like Sunday was the best bet for crowds to be the lightest but we’re not locals to Florida so we’re not sure just how bad it can get this time of year, or if summer storms are more intermittent and just pass in/out throughout the day.
I’m taking her to the Disney parks as well (it’ll be my mothers first time to any of the parks on the east coast) and I’m almost wondering if it’s worth it to switch around one of our Disney days for an earlier epic day. Thanks for any input, it’s getting close to the dates and we just wanna see what others weigh in on.
