I just got a minera IUD about a month ago and aside from some cramps it's been great and I don't regret it at all. However, my girlfriend (mtf) just told me that she's been feeling a prick when we have sex since I got it in. I figure it has to be the strings and some people say they get softer over time and it becomes less noticeable. My girlfriend says she can find positions where it's not as bad but I feel awful that it's even happening. I had also noticed that when we have sex lately she wasn't going as hard as she used to, so I guess that's why. Any experience on how long it takes for the strings to soften or move? I really don't want to have my iud removed but this is definitely a problem. Any advice welcome!
