I don't understand the episode 3 complaints
I've seen a bunch of posts this week calling the episode "filler", so I was preparing for the worst until I just watched it. It's true nothing major happened, but several very interesting plot threads were put in motion that are obviously leading somewhere.
* Victor knowing about MiY will bring back memories
* Acosta digging into the storage items will obviously lead to some discovery
* Sophia/MiY wanting to move in with Sara, and begining to sow chaos within the town
* Whatever Elgin and Fatima are up to
* Ethan searching for the lake of tears and talking about how maybe he already knew the lake of tears was real without knowing it
* Jade actively working to unlock his memories
* Julie/Randall getting Ethan's books
Seriously, a lot was going on this episode. Calling it filler is so ridiculous. Set up? Sure, that's fair. But there was almost no plot irrelevant content in this episode. Even the Fatima/Ellis stuff I've seen people complain about... what do you expect her not to be coping with what she went through? Should the writers just ignore her trauma and move on?
I don't know, the filler complaints are completely nonsense IMO. I was a big fan of this episode, and from a character/dialogue perspective I actually thought it was a noticable step up from earlier seasons. I seriously question a lot of modern TV audiences and their constant complaints about "filler" for every episode that doesn't have some major plot changing event. This is not the first show recently I've seen what I consider to be some pretty nonsense "filler" accusations thrown at it.
