My CI is kind of broken, and I’m also being electrocuted by random?? 😬
(new to reddit, sorry if im doing something wrong!) I need to know if anyone else is having trouble with this. I went to the audiologist today, and my coil is apparently too short, and is causing me a few problems because of it.
The coil is bent due to having to be adjusted to stay on.
Now when I move my head my audio cuts in and out, in a glitchy patchy way, which is SO FRUSTRATING. It’s also affecting my education, because I’m not hearing everything my teachers say.
This isn’t confirmed, but my audiologist is suspecting that a different, much worse problem I’ve been having may be directly caused by this. (Electrical shocks in my jaw. Not fun.)
Has anyone had this problem? I’m getting a new, longer coil soon but I want to know if this is a common experience! I also would love to hear if anyone one else has had strange electric shocks down their jaw due to a problem with their CI. Help me out!
