What happens if a dependent fails the overseas suitability screening after active duty PCS?

My spouse is scheduled to leave for an OCONUS duty station next month. Our kids and I finally had our “virtual appointment” about our screening packages, and the provider opened inquiries for both a child and me. We submitted all of our materials a week or two after we received the orders in February, so there has been no delay on our part.

If the child is/I am found unsuitable for the new duty station, will we be forced to spend the next 30 months living in a different hemisphere than my spouse, or will he/she receive new orders so we can remain together? What if he/she has already arrived at the new duty station when we are denied? Thanks for any clarification anyone can provide—this process has not been straightforward.
