Showcasing a timelapse of myself creating a 3 planet star system. In this approach, you have one entity for the star system itself, and you can create entities for each planet.
The star system uses the "system" view of the Cartography Workspace. If you open one of the planet entities in the Cartography Workspace, you can generate a equirectangular world-style map with a growing collection of styling options. You can easily export images, and add those images to the star system orbital, and the image will wrap around the sphere.
The Editor Workspace has been rebuilt and expanded in many ways. You can embed more media and even websites into documents.
Many early testers have asked for a more straightforward markdown editor, and it is finally here! Documents can have both gateway forge content and markdown content at the same time, you can switch between the different editors.
Here is a quick peek of one approach in the new Cartography Workspace. You have different layers that you can create and manage, and one of them lets you render any image you want - it auto-tiles large images for improved performance.
There is a lot you can do in the Cartography Workspace, and I’ll be putting out more documentation and videos over the next few weeks to explain more clearly.
