Suggestions for cheap apartments or roommate hunting
So I am a 26F, and have been living in the Syracuse area since 2023. I've been in the same apartment my whole time here but will have to move out in the next few months so my current roommate can move her boyfriend in.
Unfortunately I'm already finding that the housing market has gotten way worse since the last time I moved. Last time I found a lot of great leads on FB marketplace, but right now all I'm finding there are fake listings or student's subleting for the summer.
I'm honestly not picky but finding somewhere within like $200 of my current rent ($656), that allows cats seems impossible.
Any suggestions on either cheap places to rent, or ways to find a roommate would be super appreciated. I'm a working adult not a student, I'd be interested in renting a room, a studio apartment, or a 1 bedroom apartment. I'd also be down for renting a two bedroom apartment if I were able to find a good way to connect with a roommate.
My lease isn't over until the end of August but my roommate's boyfriend is available to move into my current place whenever I find my next living situation, so my move date is flexible.
