so my neighbor got some hail damage and called a local roofer out. guy took one look and said yeah just a few shingles need replacing, quoted him $400 and wanted cash upfront
something felt off so he called a second company. second guy got on the roof and found the whole thing was actually way more damaged than it looked from the ground. long story short first guy was either incompetent or trying to take advantage
moral of the story if you had any storm damage recently always get at least two opinions before paying anyone anything. some of these guys know homeowners wont get on their own roof to check
anyone else had sketchy experiences with roofers after storms
