This is just coming off a different thread about the seemingly almost endless releases of pens that differ only by material or color. Do you feel that FOMO (the fear of missing out), as it is aggressively used in marketing these days, is spoiling this and other hobbies?

I would like to say that I don't really get affected by FOMO, but the reality is that it no doubt has a subtle mental effect on me by adding cumulative small stresses between what I see and what I know I can afford. I try to resist it, but stressors can be sneaky things!
