Graduate na! Spent 1.8M for the wedding. But I have some realizations:
* Not listening to my planner on what items I should splurge on. My planner said we should prioritize on: caterer, photo/video, host, gown/suit, and makeup.
* I spent too much on a premium recep venue and got the cheapest caterer na accredited ng venue (and this is where I think we messed up big time)
* Host: I'm glad I booked a good one na reco ni planner (eto lang ata sinunod ko) but still way out of budget kasi walang pumapasa sa mga initial reco nya
* I booked the following without discussing with planner or checking the budget allocation he/she made: grazing table, coffee bar, donut wall, fries cart, premium gelato, mobile bar, and a premium activity/souvenir station for guests
* Yung gown ko yung mura lang, yung makeup ko hindi talaga okay kinuha ko. Hay!
* P/V - maganda naman feedback dito and happy kami but sana nag invest ako sa makeup artist kasi sa SDE and Onsite Photo parang iba hitsura ko. And sa personal daw sabi ng fam/friends ko medyo hulas daw talaga makeup at hair huhuhu
* Nag pa add kami ceiling treatment na simple - which is wala na talaga sa budget pero pinilit ko kasi dream ko yan
Overall, halatang not balanced where we splurged on sa wedding. Too much sa grazing/food carts. Pero bumaba yung energy ng guests nung dinner. Daming left over. Yung MOH, Best Man, at yung family nag bigay ng honest feedback na mukhang we spent too much on aesthetics and food carts.
Also, I noticed daming nag sasabi samen after wedding na "mahal venue nyo ano?" or "ang bongga ng cocktail hour nyo" na parang mas na prove ko na di sila satisfied sa caterer. 😅
And even if without their feedback, kami mismo na notice namin. Which is affected kami kasi we used to criticize heavily yung caterer when going to other people's wedding yun pala kami ganun din ang ending. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either.
Pinaka sad ako walang nag sabi na ang ganda ng gown and makeup ko.
