Getting ghosted by my photographer what do I do?
I’m getting ghosted by my photographer and i’m not sure what to do. For some backstory I’ve used this photographer twice in the past year for a Mother’s Day mini session and a Christmas mini session. Both sessions were great, I loved my pictures, and most importantly for the story my photos were returned to me within 2-ish weeks both times. At the start of the year my photographer suffered a late term miscarriage and lost her baby. I assumed she would not offer Mother’s Day minis this year, but when she posted she was offering Mother’s Day minis with her available time slots on her Facebook, i booked my session. Pictures went great and I paid a total of $120 between the deposit and day of fee, however now I’m 6 weeks post session and have not heard anything at all from her. I sent her a light hearted message a few days ago saying how excited i was to see the pictures and that I just wanted to check in. She has not opened the message. When i go to her facebook I can see she is posting daily sharing reels, kayaking with her friends, going to her children’s sporting events, and partying with friends like any normal single mom in her early 30’s. But I also saw another woman who had booked with her for the Mother’s Day sessions posted on the photographer’s wall “please message me back.” And I cannot get a response either. I’m not sure if her recent loss is to blame for the delay but I feel if you offered a service for money it is only fair to follow through with the paid-for product, or at least respond to your clients. What do I do?
