I am a 22 yr old male and I have quite the issue. I’ve had a dull pinching back pain on the right side of my lower back for about 5 years. It all started with me trying to deadlift too much weight in high school. I felt a stab in the right side of my lower back halfway through a deadlift rep and then the pain dwindled to a dull pinch a week later. It sucked and would flare up when playing sports, but it was manageable. Just a couple days ago (5 years after the deadlift) I bent over with my kid and felt a scary stabbing pain bad throughout my whole lower back. It then resolved and I went from being terrified to being so happy my back fixed itself. It felt good for about a day then an even worse pain has come back in the left side of my lower back. Almost the exact same pain but times ten. What could this be?
This new pain hurts a lot when I bend over and when I stand up from being seated. I saw a chiropractor for the pain when it first started but that didn’t help at all. I haven’t seen a doctor since and I’m afraid it might be time to.
