Hey everyone! 3 year old basset had hge 2 weeks ago to the day. He was hospitalized for 24 hours and did a 10 day course of metronidazole. We had to go out of town this weekend and picked him up today. He threw up a couple of times which had specks of blood (he’s done before hge) then tonight when we got home he’s been refusing to eat and just passed a dark bloody stool. We will go to the vet if it doesn’t improve. But he had been back on a normal diet and acting normal. Also has been drinking water tonight. Do you think it is a repeat hge or something else. And any recommendations? He’s acting normal otherwise and we waited almost 3 days the first round before he went in (I work nightshift and it was a holiday weekend).
