Sea-Doo Hull Repair Help
I have a 2020 RXT that has damage on the V of the hull. I was noticing a damp spot under the hull while it was on the trailer so I filled the hull with water to see if it was leaking and sure enough, there is a very slow weep (if you will) of about a drop every hour.
Hull is comprised of two-layers, an exterior acrylic (plastic) layer and fiberglass composite. I've been doing some research and I'm wondering if this proposed repair will work.
- Grind down the damage until structurally sound fiberglass is visible.
- Fill in exterior area with G/Flex 655 epoxy adhesive.
- Reinforce interior with polyester resin and matting.
Any thoughts or advice is very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
