I've always had mild sinus pressure, but starting this year, it suddenly got really bad. The pressure intensity is really strong now, I constantly feel it behind my eyes and above the soft palette. Also I think my Eustachian tubes are inflamed and/or blocked up, because whenever I open and close my mouth, I hear a clicking sound like as if it's really sticky and opening my mouth unsticks it really loudly.
I also have this pain in my neck, mostly at the back near the base of my skull on the right side only. I can feel the sinus and ear pressure most on my right side too. Also the SCM muscles on both sides are sore, and my jaw line under my ear too. At first I couldn't tell if the neck pain and sinus thing were linked, but now I'm almost sure they are because whenever I do something that irritates the neck pain, the sinus pressure gets worse.
All this stuff happening is making me dizzy and fatigued. I use antihistamines, decongestants, Flonase, nasal rinses, heat and cold compress... They all offer a little bit of relief but very short term, and I feel like it's not fully reaching the inner parts of my sinus and Eustachian tubes where I'm feeling the pressure.
I'm waiting for my doctor to set up a referral to an ENT, but it might take a little while. In the meantime, I'm desperate to find some way to get some relief aside from what I've already tried. Anything work for anyone here? Would love some advice please.
