A New Bare-Metal Home for Haiku

The keyboard on my Dell Latitude has been slowly dying over the last few years, random keys keep dropping out, and lately even the power button has been acting up. Because of that, I'm dusting off an old Intel Mac mini that's been sitting around and going to attempt giving Haiku a spin on it instead.

Old keys fade away,

Mac mini wakes on the desk,

The first attempt begins.

Mozilla Firefox is now officially available on Haiku

Just downloaded the official Firefox build for Haiku! It doesn't feel much different from Iceweasel, it mostly just brings the official name and branding. Given how incredible Haiku is at breathing new life into old hardware, a 32 bit version would’ve been amazing. However, considering Mozilla dropped 32 bit Linux support a while back, it’s not too surprising.

Question about Paladin on Haiku

For the most part, Haiku R1/beta5 (32-bit) runs surprisingly well on my old Dell Latitude D630 (Intel 1.99 GHz, 1GB RAM) without any major issues.

However, I’ve noticed that crashes become much more frequent whenever I’m using the Paladin IDE.

Has anyone else noticed stability issues specifically with Paladin?

And by crash I'm talking about "the white screen of death".
