Need help so I can help my son take care of his Dad, who has cancer.
**Asking for help: free mattress + resources for cancer caretaking situation**
Hi everyone. My son's father is currently undergoing chemo for colon and liver cancer. My son (21) has been his only caretaker and recently lost his job, making an already hard situation even harder.
I want to start staying some nights to give my son a break and share the caretaking. To make that possible, I'm looking for:
- A **free mattress** — clean condition, inflatable is perfectly fine
- **Food assistance** resources (food banks, pantries, SNAP help)
- **Resources for cancer patients/families** — utility help, transportation to chemo, anything
I'm not sure what's available in our area and would appreciate any leads. Even just pointing me to the right organizations would mean a lot.
