I am running a base cabinet straight across a wall that will butt up against another wall on the end. In that end corner, there is a piece of trim that creates a decent gap if I try and frame it without removing it.

I'm debating whether or not to cut this piece from the counter top height to the floor to make the framing more flush or just trim around it. The top will be concrete and the sides will be stone veneer.
