We just purchase a house and it has a metal shed with large planter boxes running along two sides. The soil was originally sitting directly against the shed and it started to rust, so we’ve already:
- Removed a strip of soil along the shed wall
- Sanded back the rust
- Applied rust converter
- Done two coats of exterior paint
Now we’re hoping fixing the drainage properly and try keep the planters.
The gap between the planter and shed is about 500mm deep (from the top of the planter down to the bottom of the shed wall), and it’s quite narrow.
How can we stop the rust coming back and keep water away from the shed?
Appreciate any advice 🙌
