Hey everyone! My two friends and I are planning a 3-day trek along the classic Mestia to Ushguli route in Georgia🇬🇪 this mid-June.

Here is our situation: we’ve only ever done half-day or 1-day hikes before, so this will be our very first time doing consecutive days of trekking. We are planning to stay in local guesthouses in the villages along the way, so luckily we won't be carrying any camping or heavy cooking gear.

Since we're newbies to multi-day trekking, we’d love some insight on a couple of things:

• Given that we are staying in guesthouses, what are the absolute essentials we should pack? Any rookie mistakes we should avoid for consecutive-day hiking?
• I’ve seen some recent trip reports showing that snow hasn't fully melted yet right now (late May). For those who have done this trek in mid-June, how was the mud/snow situation on the higher passes?

Any advice on the trail, safety, or guesthouse etiquette would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance🙌
