I am developing my own series and universe and have a lot built up and the main character is Robert stone also known as gemstone rain cities guardian, he has the clear core gem one of ten core gems from an ancient planet of crystal from before time, with the clear core he has the power of energy manipulation, absorption of energy and non core gems, the ability to have one gems powers at a time after absorbing another's gem, he's 15 and lives in rain city the story starts in 1938 but a way way different one from are timeline the divergence started in 1847 when loggers in rain city found the first modern gem shards what would go own to be named crystals or shards depending on who you asked, with them being found it sparked a crystal revolution and advanced technology much more faster then are timeline within 10 years the first cars where on streets while the civil war started with it ending fast before 1963 with a team of freed slave gem users called the emancipators slaughtering Confederate soldiers with ease they where some of the first known gem users on the planet and started a distrust between gem users and humans for the next century, by the time we get to 1938 and Roberts story the world is mix between 30s and 40s culture with 80s and early 90s tech with some things being even more advanced and rain city being the biggest city in known human history taking up 20 percent of Washington where settle is in are world
