TRUE paranormal stories from my family
My mom and grandma (my dad’s mother) both have similar ghost stories of their time living in Ecuador. This was before they met, so it’s strange they align.
First my grandma’s story. She lived in an apartment on the 2nd floor with her husband and maid in Ecuador in 1967, in the Sierra or mountain area. She was in her 20s. It was late, around 1AM. They were all sleeping. My grandma, and the maid heard a knock on the door. They both go, and check it out. They opened it, and there was nobody there. They go into the maid’s room where there was a large window where you could see the backyard. There is where they saw a woman figure with a white dress floating quite fast through the window in the backyard. They both looked at each other, and asked if they both saw it. They knew they did. Her and the maid ran back to their rooms. My grandma woke her grandpa to tell him, but he didn’t care/ was tired.
This is my mom’s story. She was 13, and it was 1988. She was on the road with her family, mostly her uncle, aunt, and cousins. Around 7 people in total. It was around 1-2AM because her uncle didn’t like driving at daytime due to traffic. It’s very dark without streetlights or people. It’s like the Connecticut woods area at nighttime. (If you know, you know) There aren’t many houses, too. This was the costa or Coastal of Ecuador close to Columbia. Her uncle was driving to his hotel by the ocean. He was telling them be ready for what they will see ahead on the road. He straight up said they will see a ghost of a woman on the road. The tale goes that she lost her son, and she tried finding her son walking along roads, looking through cars when she was alive. Now that she died, she still does this. The ghost looks thru cars to see if her son is there. Now they were getting close to the place. There she was, in the middle of the road, a figure of a woman with a long white dress. She had long hair. You couldn’t see her face as everything happened so fast. She was floating. Her uncle said when they pass through her, they will feel a cold. This is exactly what happened. My mom said it was a chill like she never felt before.
Can someone tell me if they/ family members have experienced similar stories of living in Ecuador, or just anywhere? It’s weird how they both describe the same figure.
