Hello I was looking into doing a masters with thesis after already having completed a masters with project

Main reason for wanting to do so was that I don't have *any* research experience so getting a PhD admit seems unlikely without research experience and thesis would give me some experience

Is an admit for thesis possible and how should my profile be ? (Mainly trying for usa )
