Are there social work jobs that might allow marijuana use?
I have an unlicensed MS in psychology. I have been in the “social work/psychology” field for about a year now. The company I work for is a nonprofit (running on grants and donors) in a medical marijuana legal state. I completed a pre employment drug screen and in the handbook it states they can test you if they have reason.
This being my first job in the field I’m curious if there are any particular positions or types of sectors in the field that would be more lenient on drug policy/randomized drug tests.
I saw someone say any workplace that gets federal funding would have to be drug free (marijuana still being illegal federally). Does anyone have more info on what makes an organization more or less likely to have these policies?
